Shoebox Appeal 2015

20th November 2015
'Shoebox Appeal' (Operation Christmas Child; Samaritan's Purse)
A big thank you to the Parents, Carers, Pupils and Staff at Church Drive Primary School. In total, the school collected 82 boxes for the Shoebox Appeal.

On Wednesday 18th November, two members of staff and four pupils from our school visited the depot to deliver our school boxes.

We had a tour of the warehouse and the children were invited to take part in the sorting and packing of the boxes. The Appeal takes parcels to Eastern Europe and Liberia via a large lorry. It is the target to donate 10,000 boxes across the Wirral to this amazing cause, helping underprivileged children.

It was a fascinating and interesting morning and it put into perspective all the hard work and effort that goes into making a ‘difference’ to a young child’s life. We are the first school to visit the Warehouse and to be actively involved in the process.

With much appreciation for your time and effort.
